All that remains of the former Colonel Dusart barracks is a wall with a gatehouse and a corner tower. Behind the wall there is now a car park.
The barracks were largely demolished in the second half of the 1970s and the city of Hasselt briefly toyed with the idea of building a new administrative centre on the site. But the plans never got off the drawing board. The vacant space was used as a car park.
