The wooden footbridge "Europabrücke" was built in 2008 instead of the former bridge, as a symbolic gesture by the neighbors on both sides of the border (the symbolism of reconciliation can also be found on the wooden relief of the handshake directly on the bridge). At the beautiful and historic place there is also an information board about the now defunct community Újezd (Mähring) with photos, contemporary pictures and benches to rest.

Mountain biking
Probably the smallest Europabrücke, a wooden bridge over the Mähringsbach, but with high symbolic power. It replaces a demolished road bridge between Rehau on the northern slope of the Fichtelgebirge in Upper Franconia and the vanished village of Mähring, which was demolished in 1950 because of its proximity to the Iron Curtain and razed to the ground.
