On the southern slope of the Mathildenhöhe between the "Ernst Ludwig-Haus" and the "Russian Chapel" the Christiansenweg leads as a stairway up to the garden pavilion built in 1914. Eight white-glazed, ceramic reliefs with a swan motif span the capital zone including the architrave, which is why the garden pavilion is also called the "swan temple". The artist was Albin Müller.
