The Alsterfleet is a canal in Hamburg and, since the end of the 19th century, the main outflow of the Alster River into the Elbe. It begins south of the Kleine Alster (Little Alster) at the lock bridge and flows for about 1,000 meters before emptying into the inner harbor at Steinhöft (near Baumwall). The Alsterfleet is the only continuously navigable waterway connecting the Alster and the Elbe.
