The "Mordkapellenpfad" at the foot of Bonn's Kreuzberg is also a reminder of the city's patron saints. Cassius and Florentius and other companions were said to have been executed at this site - according to oral tradition. Every year a procession goes to the so-called Martyrs' or Murders' Chapel and, after prayers, back to the parish church of St. Maria Magdalena.
Since 2009, Saints Cassius and Florentius have shared the patronage of Bonn with Saint Adelheid von Vilich.
