Wonderful flat levada that should be doable for most people.

Hiking
The Levada da Serra do Faial runs almost level through fragrant eucalyptus and laurel forests, always accompanied by the steady murmur of water. At intervals, beautiful views open up of Funchal's hillsides, scattered houses, and terraced fields high above the Atlantic. The pleasant, but occasionally narrow, path is ideal for a leisurely hike, but requires attention and sure footing in a few exposed sections.
