                                One of the best botanical gardens I have seen. You should take a lot of time. The entrance fee of 12,50 € I found at the entrance still quite high, in the garden but absolutely justified. In addition, there is still a Madeira wine given. The journey should be made by cable car from Funchal (one-way). And of course you should do the descent with the traditional wicker sled. From the end of the Korbschlittenfahrt to the city center there are then another 2 km. On the way, however, is a very pleasant Quinta as reasonably priced Refreshments with top views in a tropical atmosphere (Bolo do Caco with steak for 3 € !!!)
