At the Ponta de Roma, part of the water from the Ribeira da Santa Cruz is fed into the Levada do Moinho da Serra. The old quarry stone bridge spanning the rocks of the watercourse literally grows into the surroundings and is a popular photo motif thanks to the greenery.

A stone and very photogenic bridge that you cross along the way. Wide and by no means dangerous. A worthwhile stop 😍

This is a lovely relaxed walk. Steep down from car park so last section is steep up. Rest is pretty much flat. Very quiet, no other walkers for us. The views are great and the greenery once you leave the hard tracks is amazing. Came across a couple of friendly goats before arriving at the stunning bridge. Possibly a 2-3 hour stroll, quicker if you’re a faster walker. Plenty of shady sections too.
