Hiking

In March 2021, many small spring flowers were still blooming in the forest. The clearing of this beautiful alpine pasture is still waiting for the daffodils, which we would love to come back to when they are in bloom. The alpine pasture is owned by Kremsmünster Abbey and is privately leased.

Hiking

Climb to the top of the Sugarloaf Mountain is definitely recommended. At a Steinmandl (small cairn) on Zuckerhutrundweg begins the somewhat arduous but rewarding ascent. At the summit cross you have a fantastic panoramic view. The descent is via a ridge to a forest road and again at a Steinmandl back to the original circular route.
