The Monument to Alfonso XII is located in the Retiro Park in Madrid. This impressive architectural and sculptural ensemble was inaugurated in 1922 by the king's son, Alfonso XIII

Located in the surroundings of the large pond of the Retiro, one of the most visited areas of the park, this sculptural and architectural complex pays homage to King Alfonso XII. Inaugurated by his son Alfonso XIII in 1922, the monument is inspired by those made to Victor Manuel II in Rome and to William I in Berlin.
