Information:
Bronze sculpture of a sack hopper on a base made of fieldstones. Built in the 20th century.
The town of Dahlen, nicknamed "Sack Hopper Town," derives its name from a legend in which a brave boy prevented an assassination attempt on Emperor Henry by hopping to the emperor in a sack to warn him. This legend is symbolized by a bronze sculpture in the market square, a landmark of the town.
