After the ascent, you have certainly earned one of the large portions there. It was also delicious and the staff is friendly. You can relax on the well-protected panoramic terrace and enjoy the sun when the weather is nice. If it is too cold, large panoramic windows in the hut also offer a view of the wonderful mountains.

The Tegelbergbahn takes you over approx. 900 vertical meters over a length of approx. 2,150 m from 800 vertical meters to over 1,700 vertical meters.
Each cabin can accommodate 44 people, the journey to the summit takes about 10 minutes and offers unique views of Neuschwanstein Castle and the Ammer Mountains.
I can absolutely recommend it. We went up here on June 20, 2011 with the Tegelbergbahn and then hiked back from above. A great way and an unforgettable experience with fantastic views.

The Schutzengelweg begins at the valley station on the Tegelberg and ends at the mountain station Tegelberg. Its length is about 5km and meanders steeply uphill about 903m. From the valley station, it goes through the nature reserve Ammergebirge. With his various charts he spans an informative arc from the hunters to the present day. This path offers a breathtaking view of Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau.

Tegelberg is an absolute delight! Halfway to the top is a great restaurant serving great foods and beverages for many tastes. It is a steep climb there and steeper to the top of Tegelberg - but the views on the way up are all worth it.

The mountain station can be reached in numerous ways, from easy and relaxed (Schuzengelweg) to alpine and demanding (Tegelberg via ferrata). More about the second route on my blog: adventtour.net/post/der-tegelberg-klettersteig-ein-anspruchsvoll-klettersteig
