Today's visit to the Bavarian capital went from Neuwittelsbach Hospital to the Olympic Park. At the large construction site of the SAP Gardens, which is to become the new arena for ice hockey and basketball players from 2023, I went to my old place of work: the Olympic swimming pool 🏊♀️🏊♀️ in which I swam my laps during my active time. I just had to enter the hall and the well-known, beloved and familiar smell of chlorine immediately met me. I love it. We went back past the Olympic Stadium.

Wonderful autumn tour in the beautiful Donau-Ries. From the parking lot at the Marienhöhe outdoor pool in Nördlingen, we reach the Adlersberg via the Witches Rock. Along the way we repeatedly encounter geological features of the Ries meteorite crater and are informed on event boards about the geology, settlement histories and the heathland landscape typical of Ries. From Geotope Lindle it goes through beautiful forest paths to Alten Bürg. Of the abandoned castle complex only the late Romanesque castle chapel St. Hippolyt is preserved. Right next to it is the Altenbürg quarry. Then it goes to the Riegelberg with the remains of a Roman manor and the Ofnet caves.
We walk past Utzmemmingen and Nähermemmingen along the Eger and through Kleinerdlingen back to Nördlingen.

Sascha and I started today's gorge tour from the Bockseiche parking lot west of Welzheim. With a detour to the Ebnisee, which we still circled, we went on forest roads in the direction of Geldmacherklinge which, with its rocky paths, imposing rock formations and quiet splashing, invites you to despair. We continued over the Schmalenberg plateau into the wild and romantic Wieslauf and Edenbach gorges. Moss-covered tree trunks, small waterfalls and cute bridges make you dream in this idyllic landscape. Despite the very slippery and muddy ground, we got back safely to the parking lot.

The starting point was the Murrhardt Friedhof car park. This varied hiking trail to the Hörschbach Gorge and Franzenklinge begins in the beautiful city center of Murrhardt. Between the Feuersee and the cemetery, you go uphill through the forest until you have reached the Wellingtonien and can enjoy the brilliant view as far as Fornsbach.
Following forest paths it goes down to the exit of the Hörschbach gorge with the imposing Vordere waterfall. The actual path now goes down into the Hörschbach Gorge, the Bachweg is currently closed, so you walk a little above the actual gorge along a narrow forest path. Here you come to the rear waterfall in front of which you stand breathtaking. Narrow paths lead steadily up to the Grenzsteinweg on Hoblersberg. To the east of the Schwammmhof is the entrance to the Franzenklinge. It leads steeply downhill to Murrhardt and back to the starting point.

My heart city - Augsburg my love.
From Ludwigstrasse we went to Karolinenstrasse, where a 400-year-old house went up in flames last week. 400 years - and in the next moment everything is gone. If this house could tell ... a really sad sight.
Further on to the town hall and the Perlach tower, we went to the magnificent Maximilianstraße. In summery temperatures there were only 2 ice cream bollards which we licked with relish as we continued to walk. To get in the mood for the Lechviertel with its canals, bridges and cozy squares, we are again past Rathausplatz through Steingasse and back to the parking lot.
