Hiking

If we walk across the Malburgse Bandijk, we enter a bulwark against floods, against natural disasters; but soon we cross the "Patrouille Pad Noord" and the "Exoduspad"; then follow the "Patrouille Pad Zuid" for many straight meters, our last hopes that people were on guard and patrolling because of a natural hazard are dashed by the many faded information boards at the edge of the cycle path; Everywhere reference is made to the horrors of war, but also to the consequences, some of which later turned out to be positive, such as the drainage of the polders.
