The Trabelsdorf Castle with its adjacent castle park can look back on a long and very lively history. The first beginnings can be traced back to the 8th / 9th centuries. The first moated castle was built, which housed the first princely families: the Lords of Thüngfeld, the Militz family, the Münster family. The Markschalk von Ostheim family built the current castle in place of the moated castle, which the former municipality of Trabelsdorf acquired in 1936. Since then the castle has served as the seat of the doctor and since 1978 also as the seat of the Lisberg administrative association.
