Hiking

House No. 15 was built around 1708 by instrument maker Johannes Scherer. His son was Georg Heinrich Scherer (1703-1778), who became known throughout Europe in the same arts and crafts. Around 1725, Scherer acquired the rear building of No. 13 and probably set up his workshop there. Scherer woodwind instruments can be found in museums around the world.
