In the area of this horseshoe-shaped section of the trail is Wiggelwak Heath, a marshy area with several small lakes. The subsoil consists of clay. Since the moor has no natural inflow, the moor is only fed by rainwater. The bog contains a correspondingly large or small amount of water. Incidentally, this also applies to all lakes and moors in the Teverener Heide. Unfortunately, I do not know the origin of the name Wiggelwak.
