Start / finish is in Broichweiden, district Broich at the holy spirit high school.
During this hike you will get to know the Broichbach headwaters a little better. There is no source in the traditional sense: the source consists of a swampy meadow behind the districts of Linden-Neusen and Broich in which the water collects and then flows down the valley. The amount of water is so small that you can only guess the stream. After the H.G. High school (partially channeled), the brook is slowly but surely becoming a creek. The Broichbach Valley nature reserve begins at the beginning of the forest.

Start / finish is the parking lot on Heidestraat.
In this 80 hectare nature area, visitors can relax to their heart's content. Relaxation is the key everywhere, especially in the “Schutterhüske” brasserie. From here, visitors can explore the forest for themselves on hiking and cycling trails. if you haven't hiked enough yet, you can take a walk through the Vijverpark in the center of Brunssum. (about 1 km away with parking)

Start / finish is in Lüttelforst at the Lüttelforster mill (little parking space). You can also start in Schwaam, Hotel Schüppen or at the Molzmühle.
The hike mainly leads through the forest landscape with partly very old beech trees. A longer route along the banks of the Schwalm would be the highlight.

Start / finish is in Kirchberg, parking lot Lohbergerweg at the memorial. The hike is characterized by lignite mining and its positive consequences, which also exist. For example the diversion of the Inde and the vegetation as well as the fertile arable land.
Please do not hike on hot summer days, there is little shade.

This hike is just right for these temperatures. Almost the entire route leads through forest, sometimes lighter, sometimes more densely forested.
The highlights of the hike are the castle and the Volksgarten. Since the hike is relatively short, there is probably still some time to take a closer look at both, it is worth it.

The hike starts (and ends) at the Kalkarer Straße or Klever Straße car park at the cemetery next door.
The first and the last part lead through parks and other green corners of the city. The middle part mainly goes through meadows and fields. Head trees are often found on the meadow and field boundaries. Since they are often not directly on the side of the path, you have to look carefully. The same applies to the edges of water. The last one goes past a mill and an old mill and then into town to the destination.

This little hiking trail is just right for an afternoon stroll. The start and finish is my apartment in Trompetweg. (03.-13.06 2010) I don't want to talk much, the pictures speak for themselves.

The start and finish for this short but wonderful mostly forest hike is the parking lot at Schloss Moyland.
after the end of the hike I strongly recommend a tour (about 2 km) through the castle park. This flower and sculpture park is worth it

NieresThe name of the planet path was out of place for us. I saw four plaques with data from planets in the first 500 m and two in the next 1500 m, and then about 4 km nothing more. But the trail itself was very good. There is the nature reserve "Altrhein Reeser-Eyland with irrigated parts of the former course of the Rhine between the Rhine and the dike. This is a landscape that you do not see every day. On the other side of the dike there are meadows and fields as well as quarry ponds broken off the gravel works and hiked back through the old Rhine area.

About Nieres
