Today was a nice day for hiking. The weather prophet promised a dry slightly cloudy dry day. Since we still had the Werwolfweg open in Bedburg, which we had to postpone more often, we set out on our way. Today we did it. It was a nice day with a nice hikeAttention!!!
The actual route between the Erftbrücke (Pppelallee) and the railway line is unfortunately currently closed. At least one side of the path is blocked by tree trunks. 1 photo shows it. Our route is alternative.

Sunday 1.30 p.m. The food tasted good, as was the cup of crema coffee. Frau Nieres says to me, come on, let's go have a delicious ice cream. No sooner said than done, we're off. We decided on the ice cream parlor in Bardenberg because the way there is less traffic. On the way we decided on Zechenstrasse (popularly Schwangel). When we reached this, we made a mistake, we changed direction again and continued via Knopp and Alte Mühleweit to Bardenberg. So the way got longer and longer. We liked the ice cream very much. We then extended the way home a little to digest the ice cream. So about 4 km have become 5.7 km. Seldom had such a nice Sunday afternoon.

Fifth hike of the 10-day holiday in Kranenburg.
We did the hike on August 29, 2021.
At first there was actually only a tour of Kessel. In 2006 the village won a gold medal in a national competition. Our village has won a future. Because the place is not that big, we visited the Graefenthal monastery on the tour along the Niers and along some lakes. Start and finish I have in the parking lot of the Graefenthal monastery, because the parking possibilities are better there.

Small tour through the old town of Rees on August 25, 2021 as part of our vacation.
The way led us over the promenade and parts of the old town to a sculpture park. Here begins a planet path where we visited the first 5 planets and then it went in an arc back to the sculpture park, which is the start and finish. Due to lack of time, we only saw the sculpture park from the outside. Interested see
The individual planetary stations can be found along the hiking trail or bike path to Rees-Mehr. All planets of the solar system are shown at a length of about 6 kilometers. You can start at the old fortification in Rees in der Sonne.

Fourth hike of a 10 day vacation in Kranenburg.
We did this hike on 08/26/2021. It was a hike with obstacles that we built in ourselves. We started from the hiking car park at the corner of Kartenspielerweg at the corner of Gocher Str. (B 509). The card player path is a dead straight about 4 m wide and about 6 km long tar path that was almost always in the sun. Admittedly, the landscape to the right and left wasn't bad, but the sun and the asphalt -----. after a little more than 3 km we hit the left in the bushes and always went west to get back on the trail at some point. Shortly before the goal we stood in front of a chain link fence. We decided to go east along the fence. At some point there has to be a passage to the Grenzweg. The rest was then just a leisurely hike. In retrospect, this hike was an interesting change. Without Navy, just with a printout of the map, it was a nice experience.

Third hike of the 10-day holiday in Kranenburg. This hike was done on August 24th and published on Komoot on September 3rd.
This eventful hike, which only has a bit of asphalt in the first part, gave us a lot of pleasure. The route partly leads through the Netherlands. I would repeat the hike anytime.

Second hike of the 10-day holiday in Kranenburg.
The approx. 9 km long circular hiking trail leads through the beautiful Reichswald, leads us past the Seven Sources on great hiking trails and an educational forest adventure trail through nature. With a little luck and a lot of instinct you might come across the "king of the forest" - a deer - because around 100 animals of this species live in a separate protected area for wild animals. At the lake (Seven Sources) it is worth taking a closer look.
