Hiking
The characteristic charm of the Teverener Heide is the alternation of wet and dry, closed and open landscapes. As early as 1977, the inland dunes and the heath moors were placed under nature protection. Today, the protected area is 450 hectares in size and, with its special habitats, has contributed to the European “Natura 2000” network since 2001.
