The Spanish house also belongs to the breakdown mill. The "Spansch Hüske" (Spanish little house) in half-timbered construction comes from the 17th century Pannenmühle near Niederkrüchten and was the former customs house on the border between the Spanish Netherlands and the Duchy of Jülich. The present-day Netherlands were part of the Spanish Kingdom from 1543-1793.
