The pedestrian zone “Ossenreyerstrasse” was the core project of the action program. After thorough preparation, the redesign began in spring 1996. After 15 months of construction, the approximately 600 m long main shopping street was completed as planned at the end of November 1997. Potholes, large puddles and the mix of materials of the provisionally repaired surface are long gone.
