This promenade stretches along the banks of the Strelasund from the Nassen Dreieck to the Schwedenschanze. The avenue has existed since 1926, but was called "Hindenburg-Ufer" from 1927 to 1945 because of a visit by Paul von Hindenburg in the same year. After the war, it was of course renamed "Ernst-Thälmann-Ufer", but has been known by its current name since 1990. The beautiful street is lined with such important buildings as the Hansa-Gymnasium Stralsund, the Hanse-Klinikum and the seaside bathing establishment.

The Sundpromenade is an idyllic promenade on the Strelasund, for walks along the water from Stralsund harbor to Parow.
The Sundpromenade is ideal for long walks along the coast, especially in the warmer months. Runners and Nordic walkers use this beautiful route, especially in the morning and evening hours.
This impressive garden with several viewing points and rest areas was created in the 1920s. There are many other sights in the immediate vicinity, such as the city harbor or the Schillanlagen. The Café Ventspils and the Rockeria restaurant invite you to linger here with a wonderful view of the Strelasund. auf-nach-mv.de/reiseziele/a-sundpromenade
