The Sabinchen fountain is located in front of the town hall. The fountain was built in 1913, on the base stood the bronze figure of Frederick I, who in 1412 was the first Hohenzollern to move into the Mark. The fountain was dedicated to the rule of the Hohenzollerns in the Mark Brandenburg. The fountain was therefore also called the Hohenzollern fountain. During World War II the bronze statue was removed.
In 1984 the fountain was reconstructed and a new statue was created. Sabinchen, known from the Moritat, was chosen as the motif.

The artist Lothar Sell (1939-2009) from Treuenbrietzen created the Sabinchen figure in 1984 as part of the redesign of the fountain built in 1913. This was intended as a replacement for the bronze statue of Elector Frederick I, which was melted down for armament purposes. Today the "Sabinchenbrunnen", which has long since achieved landmark status for Treuenbrietzen, is a listed building. In honor of the "unkind maid", the 10-day "Sabinchen Festival" takes place in Treuenbrietzen every year in June.

Just because of the "scary Moritat" by Sabinchen you have to pay tribute to the center of Treuenbrietzen! I particularly like this "kitchen song" in Claire Waldorf's interpretation.
