The White Crosses memorial on the banks of the Spree at Friedrich-Ebert-Platz next to the Reichstag building in Berlin commemorates the victims of the Berlin Wall. The memorial was first located on the east side of the Reichstag on a fence in front of the wall and then opposite the south side of the Reichstag on a fence in the Tiergarten.

How cruel can a regime be that claims to be superior and more humane?? What crime did the people who were murdered at the Wall commit... did they want to murder the Chairman of the State Council of the GDR or the SED party headquarters?? Oh no, much worse: they did not see their future in a life under socialism...
