The Steigerwald Panoramaweg from Bad Windsheim to Bamberg is the best tour I've run; we run a stage every few weeks and "are now" in Abtswind; the path always leads along the edge of the Steigerwald and offers long-lasting views on almost all sections! The stages can be individually adapted thanks to the excellent hiking app komoot :-)

The Steigerwald Panoramaweg leads 161 km across the Steigerwald. The Steigerwald Panorama Trail begins in the spa park of Bad Windsheim and ends on the Michaelsberg above Bamberg. The climbs add up to 3660 m, the descents add up to 3653 m.
