Best Hikes to Chapel of the Fourteen Holy Helpers (14-Nothelfer-Kapelle) Oberschwarzach

Tips

  • From the "14-Nothelferkapelle" in Oberschwarzach, from the "Stollberg" in Handthal and from the "Old Mountain" in Wiebelsberg, you have a wonderful view of the Steigerwald foreland.

The "Chapel of the 14 Nothelfer" on the "Hörnle" stands as a "memorial stone" of the vineyard cleanup for the district Oberschwarzach. It is built in the shape of a tent and is considered "the crowning glory of the vineyards and the Herrenberg."

From here, there are wide views to the western and central Lower Franconia, because the Steigerwald ends here with a long mountain edge, which runs from north to south. Enjoy the view and take a look at the chapel.

  • The Holy Helpers Chapel in Oberschwarzach is a small, quiet place of worship and a wonderful stopover for hikers and pilgrims. It is idyllically nestled in nature and is perfect for a short break. The chapel is dedicated to the protection of the 14 Holy Helpers, who are revered in the Christian tradition as helpers in various emergency situations.

  • Hello Söhni. as always, thanks for the detailed information. You know your way around everywhere. Hence the question do you know what this architecture is all about. It's very unusual. I like it. I can't find anything on the internet straight away. Thanks and regards!
