In 1678 the Rieder baroque sculptor Thomas Schwanthaler cleverly built the main altar into the Gothic vaulted cap of the presbytery and created the group of the Adoration of the Three Kings. In terms of structure, setting and detail, this extremely lovable work is one of the best examples of baroque carving in Austria.
