Finally, climb left over somewhat exposed, but easily passable ledges to the idiosyncratic summit cross. The distinctive profile of the Erlakogel dominates the southern area of the Traunsee. Under the summit cross you can enjoy a wide view, wonderful above the Traunsee and very close to the Traunstein. There is also a "panorama visor", the top of which points to the surrounding mountain peaks.
