a great track with great flooring. Leads directly from the south to downtown Essen. On the way a lot of water Niederfeldsee, Kruppseee and the Cafe Radatmosphare. My top route in Essen.

The area around the Niederfeldsee has been rebuilt great. There are several breaks and a nice bike path.

The Rheinische Bahn is one of the central west-east connections for cyclists in the western Ruhr area. Part of the Ruhr RS 1 cycle route runs on the former railway line.

The very well-developed path of the Rheinische Bahn leads through beautiful new development areas. Many former colliery sites have been converted to make them attractive to the population.
