Currently (September 2024) this highlight no longer exists. The city has sold the building and property to a private investor who wants to build a restaurant here. Without speaking to the city or the hiking club, he had the tree fork torn out and placed outside "his" property. Fortunately, the hiking club was able to secure the marker in time before it was completely destroyed or stolen. It is now being repaired by volunteers in their free time and will hopefully soon be re-erected on public land near the destination.
