For my inline skate collection from Lewitz this should be the Kröningstour, the highlight tour. Unfortunately, OpenStreetMap was right. The asphalt is horrible, sometimes not skatable. I was able to skate about half the distance, more badly than right. The other half, about ten kilometers, I “hiked” on skates. It wrecked me so much that even the last few meters, when the asphalt was good again, I only wished I could finally get to the car.The landscape was a dream. Next time I prefer to hike it with shoes on 😉

There was talk of wasted taxes when I heard that a bicycle bridge was being built over the narrowest part of the Ostorfer See, the Dwang.Bicycle bridge ?! 💡😇 Can you skate over it? Maybe even around the whole inner lake? A look at the maps from OpenStreetMap made me skeptical. So my son and I first cycled the distance. Unfortunately there is a longer section of really old cobblestones even downhill or uphill. You can't get rum with inline skates, but you can go there and back. So put on your skates and go.About half of the route has super smooth asphalt without gradients and climbs and always nice on the lake, well separated from roads that you cannot see and hardly hear. The other half goes on roads with little traffic through residential areas. The asphalt is old and suboptimal, but still quite easy to drive. The bridge over the Dwang drives very well and offers a beautiful view over the lake and the old town. As a hiker, runner, cyclist and inline skater, I think the bridge is great 👍. No wasted taxes 😉

After Fläming-Skate, that was the most beautiful skating route. You just shouldn't do it in autumn, when leaves and branches are on the paths and the asphalt is damp. The second half of the route went right into the Lewitz. No ascents or descents, absolutely flat, super asphalt and just nature around you: canals, meadows, forests.Actually, it wasn't really skating at all, but more a photo tour with my son, who had accompanied me on the bike.I found the tour via a targeted query of the OpenStreetMap data with and then planned it with Komoot.

The last time I rolled from Schwerin towards Ludwigslust, I turned back too early, as I later saw on the map. So I did the navigational flight preparation 😉 this time a little more thoroughly and drove straight away from Dreenkrögen to Schwerin from the other end. The winter rape bloomed along the way. That smells like spring. On the way back I didn't see a stone, branch, pine apple or whatever in the foliage just before the finish and fell. I must have been really quick. Anyway, I skidded a few meters across the asphalt. But nothing happened to me. Even things didn't take much. It really has to be really good asphalt. In any case, he drove great 👍 😊. You can forget everything around you.

While driving, I noticed the cycle path between Crivitz and Friedrichsruhe. I tried it today. The asphalt is a dream. The road wasn't as busy as I initially feared. On the way back I had a strong headwind. He was a good training partner for me. Man, he countered. Even on the descents, I had to work to move forward. The track drives very well.

A work colleague and friend organized that we could climb a windmill. Was that strong 😃! Climb a ladder with a safety device in the closed tube 80 m. It makes you feel pretty warm. The higher you go, the more the tower swings and vibrates. The top cover was then opened. Since it was now dark, it looked like the space shuttle with the hold open. Just awesome 🤩. Should the opportunity arise again, I'll be there again. Yes, of course I also learned a lot about wind turbines 🎓.

Today I wanted to try this route no incline or rise, a dream to skate. I have no idea how the elevation profile was created. That can't be true. The asphalt is very good. You ride on a good bike path parallel to a busy main road. There are a few rows of trees between the bike path and the road, so that you are not only spatially but also visually separated from the traffic, which you can still hear. Due to the trees, however, there was a lot of leaves on the asphalt in autumn. It rained yesterday. It was still wet under the leaves, so it was quite slippery in places. Unfortunately, I couldn't really pick up speed most of the time. Still, it drove quite well. Maybe I'll do it again in spring or summer.

Once again I was looking for a new route for inline skating. Through a query in the map material from OpenStreetMap via I came across the cycle path on the southern edge of the Lewitz between Parchim and Neustadt-Glewe.The bike path is great: very good asphalt, relatively wide and hardly any incline. On the way back I had a nice view of the now closed Schwerin-Parchim airport. The cycle path runs along a federal road. I was lucky, it was closed for construction work, so I was almost alone there this morning. Only one cyclist came towards me.

In the rain, a trip with the Molli (as a child I thought with the Molli) was an option. Our daughter loved it. It felt like Back to the Future with the Steam Train or Harry Potter. It's great that this old locomotive still exists. At some point in my childhood they disappeared in favor of diesel and electric locomotives. It was really like going back in time. Really great! 😊

Skating on the beach promenade in Kühlungsborn is probably not a particularly good idea at any time of the year or on any day of the week. At this early hour (before 9:00 am), I almost had it to myself. So it was no problem to roll to my real highlight, the bike path between Kühlungsborn and Kägsdorf, which I discovered for myself the day before yesterday. Actually, I wanted to drive this section of the route twice. However, it was predicted to rain, and so I was glad of every dry meter. However, the rain took its time. So I could have skated longer. So I'll be in the apartment earlier and we can have breakfast earlier. It's not bad either. 😊
