The Sängerwiese forest restaurant is a real institution. It was set up as a forester's lodge over 100 years ago and even then guests were welcomed in the guest room. Today everyone stops here on their hikes on the Rennsteig, on the Werra-Burgen-Steig, through the Drachenschlucht and in the area around the Wartburg and enjoys the peace of the forest and the Thuringian cuisine.Opening hours:Monday to Sunday 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.More information at saengerwiese-eisenach.de.
