Großer Drachenstein (Touringen Stempelstelle Nr. 132)

The bench at the ancient oak and this view simply invite you to take a short break. From here you have a great view of the Thuringian Forest. A display board explains what you can see from here.

With this ancient oak you just have to take a break and let the view over the beautiful view.

If you are on the circular walk Mariental-Drachenschlucht-Landgrafenschlucht-Mariental, you should not turn left into the Landgrafenschlucht at the old wine route, but keep to the right and walk a few meters uphill to the big Drachenstein. (Attention: The way up is divided, there is no signage here, but both paths unite again after a few meters)
After the beautiful view, follow the path down this magnificent tree, cross the wine road and follow the path straight ahead into the Landgrafenschlucht gorge. (This path also leads to the gorge, otherwise you can follow the wine road and the few steps back to the original branch.

On the way from "Hohe Sonne" to the Drachenstein, the path leads off to the right towards Mosbach. Only a short distance, then the way divides. On the left you go to the Dragonstone. Exactly at this small intersection there is a beautiful vision.
