As the last major remnant of the nearly 700-year-old castle stone, which was located on a small, hidden rocky outcrop in the Ölschnitztal, survived only the palace or main building, the sometimes stormy centuries and still watches over the idyllic valley. It now houses the chapel of St. Michael.
