A beautiful park that is divided into several levels. There is something to discover here in every season. On hot days it is nice and shady and cool. There are trees and shrubs from all over the world here. Wilhelm Rother, the owner of the site, brought the seeds from his travels and planted the garden. He took care of the facility until his death. Really nice there. Definitely visit.

  • "The Lasting Luck" was an alum shale mine on Rothersberg in Bad Berneck. It was in operation from 1486 - 1841. Nice park around, fun. to go through on a long hike :) Above the mine there is a Kaule eroded. On the way there you pass a beautiful monolith.

  • Dendrology is the study of trees and woody plants (wood science). As a branch of botany, it deals with woody plants, especially trees, shrubs and various climbing plants.
The focus is on plants for wood use on the one hand and on use as ornamental plants in parks and gardens.

  • The park bears the name of its founder. The Waldsassen manufacturer Wilhelm Rother (1818 - 1898) was one of the early enthusiastic spa guests in the village. In 1861 he moved to Berneck, took a lively interest in public life and promoted the health resort. The obelisk in the middle of the Rotherspark was dedicated to Wilhelm Rother in 1900 as a gesture of thanks from the city.

  • We were there at the wrong time of the year, at the moment a lot had faded and the valley view had grown over ... we have to look again in spring, because the information boards say great.
