The wolf garden was used in the 17th and 18th centuries for wolf hunting. In a fenced area baits were laid out. The attracted wolves initially had free access to the terrain. Once the entire pack was inside the facility, the hunters closed the fence and the wolves were driven into the pitfalls and killed there.
