In the former spinning mill, which was relocated to the upper Alb valley between 1993 and 1997, the original buildings were converted into a service center and remodeled accordingly. The individual buildings were completely gutted and a two-story hall was built in the inner courtyard of the three-wing complex.

Hiking

This is just one of the new uses of the former spinning mill near Ettlingen. Because of the possibility of using water power, industrial companies settled on the Alb long before the steam engine. Today this site is a mixed commercial/residential area where you can still see much of the long history.
A map of the Ettlin spinning mill from 1997 still hangs on the old gatehouse.
