The Anger is an elongated square, with the Anger 1 shopping center at its northeast end. The southwest end is marked by the Angerbrunnen fountain. The total length is approximately 500 meters, and the area (from the Angerbrunnen fountain to the Kaufmannskirche) is almost 20,000 square meters. While the northeastern part expands into a square, the southwestern section is a wide street converted into a pedestrian zone.
