I have brought a colorful Pentecost greeting for you, my Komot friends from near and far, from the wonderful rhododendron garden in Bad Berka above the God's WellAt the moment the flower pile is particularly wide and the yellow variety exudes an extremely pleasant and Mediterranean fragrance, especially in the evening clay. There is water in the Kneipp basin at Gottesbrünnlein, but only very dirty and standing water, so it is not yet suitable for kneeling. The barefoot path also has to be created again. For this, the Kneipp facility at the Goethe Fountain is open again, subject to hygiene and distance rules. At Herthasee, the wooden slats that served as steps are unfortunately rotten, which means that you must wear sturdy shoes. In the Rhodofendong garden there are enough benches to linger, take a break and relax at the bird concert in the evening. To top it all off, there was a deer at the edge of the forest in Dammbachsgrund.

Jena and its core mountains as well as a "floor" lower the middle Saale Horizontale are just wonderful for the hiking heart and let the numerous viewpoints roam the vastness again and again.Once you have arrived in the core mountains - preferably starting from the spacious and free parking lot at Steikreuz - the hiking region offers a lot of comfortable rest areas, inviting seating areas and benches with a view, which were sponsored by private individuals and are mostly provided with a meaningful saying. On the way to the thief crib you should definitely be sure-footed and free from giddiness. It seems that the narrow path on the slope is washed out more and more in some places and the scree loosens - so, wear good shoes!I'm still surprised that MBT groups always drive on the middle horizontal - but in Jena it's always very disciplined and polite - and you get along well with each other - the runners, the hikers with the MBT drivers - -a faieres with each other, which unfortunately is not a matter of course everywhere. The Fürstenbrunnen asks fresh spring water for the first thirst and also ideal for tired hiking feet. From there you can go up to the lime tree and on to Lobdeburg.
Unfortunately, you have to descend this beautiful climb (not knee-friendly :-() to get to the starting point - the parking lot.The Lobdeburg had to do without our visit this time, because the thunderstorms started to come back from the lime tree.In between there was always the opportunity to enjoy the blossoms of nature, such as the wood anemone and the grass sword lily, which I brought with you as a photo.Have a nice Weekend!

... is only recommended because the Wilderer Path simply makes the hiker's heart beat faster because of its untouched nature and the wildly romantic tour around Gehlberg, and yet the pulse is due to the absolutely meditative melody of the forest, a mixture of a bird concert and the lapping of the wild stream in an absolute relaxation mode. The ups and downs on the complete round of the Wilderer Path, which starts at the Wilderer Museum and leads via the Gehlberg train station to the Güldenen Brücke and (from here we had not missed the small branch via the Schneekopf via the Teufelskanzel), then on to the Seiffartsburg already leads to some condition and surefootedness. On top of the Seiffartsburg there is a bench painted yellow and green, typical of the Wilderer Path, with a wonderful view. The thick tree trunk after the bees / honey station on the cover picture is the first entry into the otherwise swampy meadows, before you go back into the forest and with a bit of luck, as we already had, you can meet a deer - otherwise you can Learn a lot from the time of poaching and techniques on the boards and the replicas! So also a tour with children who are fit enough on the road, but not for MB drivers! One of our favorite tours, if it should only be FOREST and NATURE and something longer on rooted paths ---- the whole tour is a highlight !!

The starting point for my small round today was the meadow (left: photo on the left) that was used for my picnic and when we children had enough to do all day in nature, the stream on which I built my dam ;-) has hardly any left Water, but everything else as before.
It was a special moment to come back to the place with so many positive memories. Later it was raining at the radio tower and I had to be careful not to march to Kranichfeld ......... then back on the track, the sky laughed and I was just wondering what was going on in the area of the Suhle source on the meadows to be laid for lines?
The area is also explored to the royal spring and in the surrounding forest.
For the MBT drivers I also saw some nice places to go up and down!Tomorrow everyone a good start into the 5 day race :-)

There are still many buds on the rhododendria near the god Brünnlein, so that there is still enough time to enjoy the flowers in the middle of the forest. The frog is croaking in Lake Herthase and the forest Kneipp basin has been drained, unfortunately! In the Dambachsgrund there is a beautiful "shortcut" simply up the steep slope - always fun - directly opposite the first of the three lakes.Every morning a sunny Sunday

We had decided late today to get water in Bad Berka at the Goethebrunnen and to go for a spin - the weather was perfectly mixed and there were hardly any people on the road.On the side of the path I was particularly delighted by the sight and smell of the first lily of the valley.Have a nice holiday every morning 🍀👍

, The two median rehabilitation clinics Am Adelsberg and Ilmtalklinik started up to the Pauline tower and from there the sun-drenched paths towards Buchfart. Near the Friedwald, nice elderly gentlemen met and talked about God and the world .... a very pleasant encounter among hikers with social distance. People are increasingly lacking encounters and conversations with others, returning to the park via the M. Steinweg, which did not look accessible from above. Then the water bottles at the Goethe fountain are compulsory. The Kneipp pool and tourist information are currently closed.
I brought the source analysis with you again in the photo.

Sorry, the photos are all mixed up, but sort them ... nope - the messages of the photos speak such clear words
above the wedding dress in the shop window:
# Laugh # love # dance
That's how it should be!!
ALL have a great weekend in spite of the C .... crisis, nevertheless or precisely because of that you can feel:
la vie es`t belle

.... and at the end of the day it was definitely not an Easter walk anymore when we decided to get back up to the Tresko way ..... there was no signage, no GPS, just a rough one Orientation despite completely new, wide paths and then an ambitious steep descent, because it was far too late to go back about 3 km.So from where our recording stops please only follow this off-route with sure-footedness!In the end it was a
absolutely beautiful Easter walk with many meters of altitude, which is particularly rewarding to the Herrmanstein with a wonderful view of the snow head and is the best location for a picnic.PS: no idea where the speed measurement has its information 😅 we are very quick but certainly only in the 5-way cut.All stay well and happy.
