Schückhausen is a town in Hückeswagen in the Oberberg district and is located in the south-west of Hückeswagen on the border with Wermelskirchen near Straßweg. Schückhausen is located in the catchment area of the Purder Bach, which flows into the Große Dhünntalsperre after the confluence with the Große Dhünn Bach. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1481 in a list of donations for the Marienaltar in the Hückeswagen Church. The spelling of the first mention was Schuynckhusen.
