Bochen is a town in Hückeswagen in the Oberberg district and is located in western Hückeswagen near Straßweg. The streams Heiensiefen, Bucher Siefen and Bochensiefen have their source all around Bochen, all of which are tributaries of the Purder Bach, which flows into the Große Dhünntalsperre. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1483, namely "list of donations for the Marienaltar of the Hückeswagen Church." The spelling of the first mention was zom Boichen.

Other neighboring towns are Dörpfeld, Hülsenbusch, Dörpfelderhöhe and Kleinkatern. The town can be reached via a spur road from the L68 country road between Scheideweg and Straßweg.
