The Watertoren Coevorden, located at the Van Heutszpark, was founded in 1914. With a height of 32.5 meters and an iron reservoir of 150,000 liters, this water tower is an impressive structure. The tower was designed by J.P. Hazeu and was originally part of the Dalen production station for the central water supply in this area. The water tower of Coevorden, with its eclectic style features, is strategically placed on the former ramparts within the protected cityscape. Although the tower no longer has a function in the drinking water supply, it remains a monumental symbol of the history of Coevorden.
