Lovely walk in the fog today with girlfriend. The well-known Rosandepad near Oosterbeek. Only walked along the top instead of floodplains. Didn't know if we would keep our feet dry. And deviated a bit from route because we had the dog with us. And we weren't sure if dog was allowed there. Nice walk. Worth repeating. Then want to combine it with the clog path at Doorweerth. Well while chatting you sometimes miss some signs. 🙈

End the year in style. A walk from my hometown towards Wijngaarden and Hardinxveld and back again.

With a dog you always have a reason to take a (nice) walk

Klompenpad is not the most beautiful of the Klompenpaden. The part along the Waal is the best. The route was a bit short. So we walked a clog path home today. The Trailblazer Path. That one is a bit nicer.

After a corona break, I put on the walking shoes again with a friend. First a clog path and ten over the Amelisweerd estate. A nice lunch salad on the go. Bunkers, Fort Rhijnauwen. A bit along the curved line. And beautiful fall colors. Unfortunately, komoot has measured a bit as the crow flies.

Enjoyed the autumn sun today. From the Grebbeberg towards Rhenen with a view of the Cunerakerk. Crossed the river and then across the dike towards the ferry. Nice view of the Grebbeberg. Although slightly less in autumn colors than expected. Pass a replica of a Roman watchtower. To the Veerhuys where we had lunch. With the ferry to the Blaauwe Kamer where we encountered a few Galloway cattle. And lots of birds. Then past the old brick factory and Grebbedijk again towards Rhenen. Where we enjoyed beautiful mushrooms and viewpoints in the forest. Finally we came back to the military cemetery of honor. My girlfriend liked it that way. I walked a little further through the Laarsberg behind the zoo to Rhenen. And then back along the river at the bottom of the Grebbeberg. Up a long staircase. Enjoy the beautiful view again. Then happily in the car in the traffic jam home.

Took a nice long autumn holiday walk today. Started in Hoogstraten. Partly on the territory of our southern neighbours. Varied. A castle, which was once a fortress of a Norman. But what is now a penitentiary education center... Root colony. These were homes for the poorest who were given a piece of land to work on. Later, vagabonds were housed here. But also part of WW1. The border with an iron wire with a lot of volts on it. But also WW2 with a bomber that came down. A beautiful nature reserve but very muddy. Forest and lakes. A Beguinage, water mill and old church. And that with a start that was quite fresh. But later a very pleasant sun. Total 23.6 km
