Be prepared for muddy paths. The path from the former Case is Altered pub through to the golf course has been protected with the equivalent of a red pebble carpet.

Fantastic, slightly surreal pathway but great to see the area maintained so actively.

About 10% from the end, I met the guy who, rake in hand and a pebble collecting machine of sorts at the far end, was responsible for this meandering path through the woods.

I thanked him on behalf of all hikers who don't mind getting their feet muddy but appreciate the effort to save our socks.
