The Church of the Trindade built in the s. XIX is one of the most imposing in the city of Porto. It is integrated into a hospital complex of the Terceira de la Santísima Trindade Order created in 1755, as a consequence of the extinction of the Order of S. Domingos.

The church Igreja da Trindade in Porto was built in the 19th century and is one of the most imposing in the city. The church is part of a hospital complex of the Order of Tertiaries Ordem Terceira da Santíssima Trindade which was founded in 1755. The church takes up about the space of a block of houses and was designed by the architect Carlos Amarante in the early 19th century. Later, in 1818, the building was altered by José Francisco. Stylistically, it is a neoclassical building with some baroque details. Construction was not completed until the beginning of the 20th century. Inside, the decoration is beautiful, especially the marble work, the gilded carvings and the main altar are worth seeing.
