The Nuremberg-Stein–Unternbibert-Rügland railway, also known as the Bibertbahn, was a branch line in Bavaria. It branched off from the Nuremberg–Crailsheim railway at Nuremberg-Stein station and ran through the Bibert Valley via Großhabersdorf to Unternbibert. The railway was of particular importance for the brickworks based in Totendorf.Source: Wikipedia

A wonderful building from the time of the small railways, historic and already relatively dilapidated.
The Bibertbahn was a branch line into the Bibert valley via Großhabersdorf to Unternbibert and branched off the main line from Nuremberg to Ansbach west of the Nürnberg-Stein train station in the Gebersdorf district of Nuremberg. It was single track with sidings in the train stations Zirndorf-Altenberg, Ammerndorf, Großhabersdorf, Dietenhofen and Unterstbibert. The Bibertbahn was not electrified, all trains last ran to Nuremberg Central Station via Nuremberg-Schweinau. The railway was of particular importance for the brickworks located in Leichendorf.
In addition to the names Bibertbahn and Biberttalbahn, nicknames such as “Bibertbärbala” or simply “Bärbel” (belittling of Barbara) were and are common for this line.
