The Saints-Gervais-et-Protais church in Lessines is a Gothic religious building with elements dating from the 13th to the 16th century. It is renowned for its 14th century choir and its unique porch under a Mansard roof. The interior of the church is distinguished by its sculpted lamp bases and its 12th century baptismal font. The church was restored and enlarged in the 19th century by the architect E. Carpentier.

Dedicated to Saint Gervais and Saint Protais, the church was built at the highest point of the village.

The current church dates from 1790, it has a bell from 1363.

It houses an interesting stately chapel which contains recumbent figures from the 16th century. This is the tomb of Nicolas de Cottrel. The bronze recumbent figures represent a knight and his noble wife. Alongside the knight are the helm, gauntlets and sword. At his feet, a lion symbolizes strength, at his wife's feet, a greyhound embodies fidelity. Below the tomb, a funerary plaque represents a deceased person kneeling in front of a crucifix.
