The area is very wet almost all year round, so don't forget your boots.
The central reed land and the surrounding wet forests and meadows form a rich bird biotope. Reed Warbler, Wood Warbler, Grasshopper Warbler, Great Egret, Blue Heron, Coot, Moorhen, Oriole, Buzzard and Honey Buzzard are regular guests. From the autumn, gadwall, teal, little grebe, reed bunting and snipe regularly reside in the area.
