Reinbek Castle in Reinbek in southern Schleswig-Holstein was built as one of the ancillary residences of the ducal house of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf in the 16th century. It is one of the earliest buildings from the reign of Duke Adolf I and is considered one of the best examples of the Renaissance in Schleswig-Holstein. The castle was restored after renovations of the 19th century from 1977 to 1987 and today serves as the art and cultural center of the city of Reinbek. (Wikipedia)

The castle, built in the 16th century in the Dutch Renaissance style, is worth seeing. It is both an architectural monument, a cultural center and an exhibition hall.

It is located in a charming park not far from the S-Bahn station, just a few minutes by train from Hamburg.
