The Pioneer Bridge at Bergedorfer Gehölz is an important part of the popular cycle and hiking trail that connects Bergedorf with Reinbek across the Bille.
It had been closed for a long time because it was very old and dilapidated. Ultimately, it was not renovated, but demolished and a new building was planned.
In spring 2023, the newly built Pioneer Bridge over the Bille was finally opened.
